FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is GoPlayer free to download?

Yes. GoPlayer is completely free to download from the App Store and works on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What is GoPlayer?

GoPlayer is a music player that streams and downloads the songs you keep in Google Drive. You can listen offline, build playlists and shape your sound with the built-in equalizer, while your library is neatly organized by artist, album, genre and composer. It also supports gapless playback, crossfade and casting to Chromecast or AirPlay.

How does GoPlayer work?

Once you connect your Google Drive account, GoPlayer lets you stream tracks instantly or download them for offline listening. It plays a wide range of formats, lets you create playlists, fine-tune audio through the equalizer, cast to your speakers or TV, and even import local files stored on your device.

Is GoPlayer safe to use?

Yes. GoPlayer relies on secure SDKs and encrypted connections, and it never stores your account credentials. Sign-in happens on Google's own official pages, and the app keeps only a secure authorization token on your device. You can revoke that token at any time from your Google account in any web browser. Downloaded music lives in the app's Documents folder and can be removed with a file manager, and disconnecting the account or uninstalling the app clears the tokens and downloads.

Does GoPlayer keep my data private?

Yes. Any data obtained through Google APIs is handled in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
