FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is FirePlayer free to download?

Yes. FirePlayer is a free download from the App Store and runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What is FirePlayer?

FirePlayer is a music player built around your MediaFire account. It streams and downloads your songs so you can enjoy your entire collection without filling up your device storage. You get offline playback, custom playlists and a built-in equalizer, and your tracks are neatly organized by artist, album, genre and composer. It also supports gapless playback, crossfade, and casting to Chromecast or AirPlay.

How does FirePlayer work?

Once you link your MediaFire account, FirePlayer lets you stream any song instantly or download it for offline listening. It handles a wide range of audio formats, lets you build and manage playlists, fine-tune sound with the equalizer, cast to Chromecast or AirPlay, and even import local files stored on your device.

Is FirePlayer safe to use?

Yes. FirePlayer relies on secure SDKs and encrypted connections, and it never stores your MediaFire username or password. Sign-in happens entirely on MediaFire's own official pages, and the app keeps only a secure authorization token on your device. You can revoke that token anytime from your MediaFire account settings in any web browser. Any music you download lives inside the app's own Documents folder and can be removed with a file manager. Disconnecting your account or uninstalling FirePlayer clears the stored tokens and downloaded files.
