About
I'm the founder of jmobbi.com and a full stack developer with over 12 years of experience building web and mobile apps. Here is a little about me.
My career started with backend work in PHP, where I used frameworks like Laravel, Yii2 and Silex. I built REST APIs, set up web servers and automated deployment pipelines.
In 2018 I moved into frontend development with a focus on React and Redux. Since then I've built modern web interfaces, moved older codebases over to React and set up scalable UI architectures using solid practices and modern JavaScript.
I've led projects from the ground up, from designing the architecture and choosing the technology stack to coordinating how it all gets built. I've moved legacy systems onto modern technology while keeping a healthy balance between stability and fresh ideas.
Mentoring junior developers has been part of several of my roles. I enjoy sharing what I know and helping others grow, while keeping a high bar for code quality and performance.
I'm happy working on my own or as part of a team, alongside product managers and stakeholders. My work often covers backend, frontend and DevOps, including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud setups on AWS and GCP.
I've worked on products at companies like Adobe, Coinbase, Palo Alto Networks and Nordstrom, which gave me experience across many different industries and workflows.
Always learning and picking up new tools and frameworks is a big part of how I work. I take pride in shipping software that is reliable, easy to maintain and fast.
In my free time I study mobile app development and build small projects of my own, always with the same goal in mind: making them useful and easy for people to use.

My iOS and macOS apps have been downloaded more than 2 million times, with thousands of great reviews on the App Store. I'll keep making them better, one careful update at a time.
