How does YaPlayer work?

Once you connect your Yandex.Disk account, YaPlayer gives you direct access to your stored music. You can stream any file over the network or download it to keep for offline playback. It handles a wide range of audio formats, lets you build playlists, fine-tune sound with the equalizer, cast to speakers and TVs, and even import local files kept on your device.

Is YaPlayer safe to use?

Yes. YaPlayer relies on secure SDKs and encrypted connections, and it never stores your Yandex.Disk credentials. You sign in directly on Yandex's own official pages, and only a secure authorization token is kept on your device. You can revoke that token at any time from your Yandex.Disk account in a web browser. Any music you download lives in the app's own Documents folder and can be removed through the built-in file manager. Disconnecting your account or uninstalling the app clears all tokens and downloaded files.

How do I transfer music from my computer?

You have two options: use Wi-Fi Drive to move files while your computer and device are on the same Wi-Fi network, or transfer them through File Sharing in iTunes or Finder.

How do I use Wi-Fi Drive to transfer files?
  1. Open the Network section and tap Computer.
  2. Choose Connect using Wi-Fi and enable it.
  3. Open the shown URL in a browser on your desktop.
  4. Drag and drop your files into the browser window.
  5. When you're finished, tap Stop Wi-Fi Drive.
How do I move my existing music library to Yandex.Disk?
  1. Sign up for a Yandex.Disk account.
  2. Install the Yandex.Disk desktop app on your computer.
  3. Upload your music files to Yandex.Disk.
  4. Sign in to YaPlayer to access everything you uploaded.
How can I delete my music library?

Open Settings, go to Music Library and tap Delete Music Library. This only clears YaPlayer's local database. Your files on Yandex.Disk and any tracks you've downloaded stay untouched.
